This role is based in the San Francisco office 4 days a week.Our client is hiring their founding Head of Marketing to lead brand, launch, and growth for a stealth-stage AI wearable startup in the mental wellness space. The company is venture-backed by top-tier investors, with a founding team out of leading consumer tech and fashion companies.This is a true marketer #1 role — the person who will define how the world first encounters the brand, own launch strategy end-to-end, and build the marketing function from the ground up.What you'll ownCategory and brand narrative across every channel and formatPre-order, waitlist, and launch strategyPaid acquisition on Meta and TikTok, plus organic social, UGC, KOL and influencer programsEmail and SMS lifecycle, plus community buildingProduct marketing, positioning, and pricing communication alongside the product teamAgency orchestration across KOL, UGC, paid, and creative studiosCAC, ROAS, conversion, and retention measurement from the ground upBuilding and leading the marketing teamWhat we're looking for8+ years in consumer marketing with hands-on launch experience, not just strategy oversightDTC and direct acquisition fluency: Meta, TikTok, UGC, email and SMS, paid acquisitionEarly-stage startup experience, comfort operating as a team of one with no playbookPremium brand sensibility, with an intuitive read on tone, voice, and aestheticExperience managing external agencies (KOL, UGC, creative, paid)Ideal CandidateBackground in wearables, consumer health tech, or wellnessExperience building community from zero, not just managing an existing oneComfort with AI-native tools, UGC workflows, and modern digital tacticsProduct marketing fluency - can explain features without sounding like a spec sheetCategory-creation experience or new market launches
