Knowledge of medical terminology and medical record organization to review medical records, sleep study orders, consent forms, medical charts, etc. Knowledge of standard, computerized polysomnography for recording continuous all night physiological data including EEG, EOG, EKG, EMG and respiratory parameters.

Opening and processing all mails including medical records request, SSI, LabCorp, Stericycle, etc. Check all patient information in ECW is entered correctly (not limited to Medical Record Number, insurance, PCP.

Must be willing to float to all 3 facilities on an as needed basis. Verify insurance benefits for all plans associated with patient, confirming the correct payor and plan is entered into the patient accounting system.

Experience working with pediatric and geriatric patients, taking patient vitals, performing point of care testing, performing employer health services, documenting in electronic medical records and PACS.

Respond to medical record requests from patients, physicians and hospitals. Basic understanding of medical terminology. Assist medical staff as needed.
