- Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOGreater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050.
- Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.
- The Youth Care Counselor is responsible for implementing and teaching targeted skills, carrying out individual service plans and counseling residents in skill and goal development.
- In the absence of family, parents, or supervisors, may be responsible for total care of residents.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health, health or other appropriate human services related discipline, or a high school diploma and two year's experience involving the supervision of adolescents in the human services field.
