- Identifies and analyzes major causes of wildland fire.
- Establishes and maintains a relationship with other cooperating activities regarding wildfire prevention and mitigation programs.
- Educates the public about the ecological principles and benefits of wildland fire and their relationship to the mission of the organization.
- You must meet specified levels on annual physical fitness tests, and pass periodic medical exams for wildland fire personnel, commensurate with current incident management qualifications.
- Examples of work experience include but are not limited to: assisting on plans for wildland fire mitigation, assisting in coordination of wildland fire educational programs with other agencies, institutions, and/or communities; assisting in the development and implementation of prevention campaigns for internal and external wildfire causes.
