- Under the direction of the Behavioral, Wellness, and Occupational Health Coordinator, this position serves as a trained subject matter expert in the area of holistic health and wellness by assisting with the development and implementation of programming, instruction, education, coaching, and encouraging members to adopt personal healthy lifestyle habits and behaviors.
- With consideration of the unique stressors and challenges facing law enforcement today, this employee will assist with the implementation of existing projects, as well as present topics and initiatives to enhance holistic wellness in policing.
- The ideal candidate for this position will possess a background and strong interest in behavioral health, fitness, and nutrition and/or a social science field (psychology, social work, counseling, criminology, etc
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) in Health Sciences, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, or a closely related field AND one (1) year of related experience in areas such as fitness instruction, wellness, or health education.
- Must have a nationally recognized group fitness, personal training, health/fitness instructor, or nutritional counseling certification or be able to obtain certification within six (6) months of accepting the position.
