- Weir Farm National Historical Park/ National Park Service – Stewardship Intern Length: (1) Term of positions is 13 weeks; full-time 40 hrs/wk (2) Term of positions is 26 weeks; full-time 40 hrs/wk (2 Positions Available) Location: Wilton, Connecticut Living Allowance: $630 Weekly Living Stipend Distributed As: - $430 Weekly Stipend - $200 Housing Stipend AmeriCorps Award: Positions are eligible for an AmeriCorps education award upon successful completion of the program.
- As part of the National Park Service, Weir Farm National Historical Park’s mission is to preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.
- STE in partnership with National Park Service at Weir Farm National Historical Park is looking for individuals to serve as Stewardship Interns.
- The internships will provide a variety of experiences in visitor service, interpretation, education, community engagement, natural and cultural resource management.
- The intern will work with the visitor services division to lead public programs and guided tours, staff the visitor center and historic buildings, provide information and interpretation to visitors from around the world, complete projects to engage diverse audiences and virtual visitors, increase their understanding of natural & cultural resources, and complete research and behind-the-scenes projects that contribute to parkwide goals.
