- Operate gas and electric powered equipment (pick-up trucks, street sweeper, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, etc.)
- Installation, maintenance, and repair procedures for structures and utilities, including construction, electrical/electronic repair, plumbing, welding, HVAC, roofing, painting, concrete and asphalt work, and grounds and custodial work.
- Scuba Diving certification and experience a plus.
- Job Conditions: Most duties in this class are performed under periodically disagreeable working conditions outside, sometimes in adverse weather, working over the ocean, exposed to water, mud, sand, dirt, grease; may be exposed to disagreeable conditions including paint fumes, caustic chemicals, equipment noise and vibration, inclement weather and dampness.
- The City also makes contributions into the Health Savings Account (HSA) for those employees enrolled in the applicable HScompatible Medical PPO Plan. Employees who opt-out of the group insurance coverage may be eligible for a cash pay-out of up to $362.38 / month.
