- The class of Water Utility Worker III is the advanced journey level in the Water Utility Worker series.
- The ideal candidate will have graduated from high school, or the equivalent, three years of progressively responsible experience in water system construction, installation, maintenance, or repair, a valid California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Water Distribution Operator Grade 2 certificate, and a valid California Class "B" driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate appropriate for the equipment to be operated.
- Certificates: Must have and maintain a California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Water Distribution Operator Grade 2 certificate.
- Must submit a copy of the required SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade 2 certification at the time of application.
- Possession of a valid California Class "B" commercial driver's license valid for the operation of both manual and automatic transmission vehicles/equipment with air brake and tanker endorsements and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate appropriate for the equipment to be operated is required upon application.
