- Principal Responsibilities: To create a positive learning environment for swim instruction for all age groups.
- Minimum Qualifications: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ensure the safety of swim team/ lesson members, performing lifesaving and/ or first aid procedures when necessary.
- Conduct swim team workouts and provide instruction to swim team members: enhance their swimming skills and development.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor such as lifeguarding as needed, assisting with picking up/drop off children from preschool, filling in for the Aquatics Manager when not present, (including teaching learn to swim classes for preschool)QUALIFICATIONS:Current certification as an American Red Cross Water Safety InstructorCurrent Certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is required.
- Current certifications in the following are preferred: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First AidPOSITION RELATIONSHIPS:Position requires constant internal and external interaction with employees, supervisors, officers, board members, committee members, other agency personnel and community members.
