- Under the direction of Child Nutrition Director, the Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor's responsibilities are to manage, coordinate, supervise and evaluate school district/central kitchen warehousing and logistics operations; establish systems and procedures to ensure departmental and district policies are met and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Determines where freight is stored in warehousing areas; codes supplies; stocks shelves; makes up pallets of cased goods; stores inventory; lifts and positions heavy items and operates a variety of equipment such as forklift, dock leveler, pallet jacks, carts, load bars, scales, box cutters and other equipment.
- Manages inventory of food in dry storage, coolers and freezers according to HACCP principles to ensure food safety and prevent waste, rotates stock using FIFO practices; coordinates with receiving and inventory clerk and Child Nutrition Director to maintain par levels of USDA Foods.
- Manages district warehouse requisition system, facilitates filling orders for equipment, supplies and materials and the shipment and delivery of goods to designated departments and campus locations, verifies shipment for accuracy; provides significant receiving, storage and delivery support to curriculum, technology, operations, print shop, athletics, music education and special services.
- Coordinates with warehouse receiving and inventory clerk, Child Nutrition Director and Business Office to maintain adequate supplies of paper for the school district.
