- As DNR's Budget Director, you will be involved in budget planning, cost allocation model development and administration, analysis, and monitoring agency programs and initiatives.
- The Budget Director will oversee and monitor DNR's 2023-25 $940 million biennial operating budget and $337 million biennial capital budget which include the management of five (5) trust management funds, twenty-five (25) dedicated funds, and other state, federal and private funds.
- In addition, the Budget Director oversees the monitoring and projection of fund balances, reflecting the latest revenue forecasts, legislative actions, and spending projections.
- The Budget Director coordinates the establishment and maintenance of the agency's financial account structure to ensure that DNR is sufficiently tracking fiscal details for internal and external reporting.
- During legislative session, the Budget Director coordinates the agency's preparation of fiscal notes on proposed legislation.
