- The Vice President for Advanced Manufacturing & Applied Sciences Sector is responsible for the Schools of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Applied Sciences and professional leadership in the development of academic programs and skills-based training that are aligned to the State of Indiana's current and future industry sector demands.
- The Vice President works closely with the Senior Vice President of Workforce and Careers, the Provost/Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, campus Vice Chancellors of Academic Affairs, applicable curriculum committees, Sector Vice Presidents focused on Information Technology, Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship and Healthcare, and the Vice President of Career Link to ensure the College is providing academic offerings and training aligned to the needs of employers.
- In collaboration with campus leaders and in partnership with sector-based organizations, state agencies, chamber, and economic development entities; and industry associations; set strategy for the School of AMEAS to reflect and align with needs of industry, including emerging industries being recruited to the State: semiconductors, electric vehicle/battery, biotechnology and others.
- Provide and/or facilitate opportunities and mechanisms for chancellors, deans, faculty, Career Link and foundation staff to meet with industry practitioners.
- Make professional presentations to industry groups, leaders about Ivy Tech programs, capabilities, and resources within the sector.
