- Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the PCT/Unit Secretary functions as a partner to the Registered Nurse with the goal of providing quality patient care.
- In addition to patient care, the PCT/Unit Secretary transcribes physician orders and performs a variety of clerical tasks as needed.
- Must successfully complete LMHS Sec/PCT orientation program and demonstrate competency on all skills.
- Must prove successful completion of an approved nurse aide training and competency program; ORActively registered as an STNA in the State of Ohio (preferred); ORAs an RN student, have completed 2nd quarter or 1st semester clinicals in a Nursing Associate’s Degree or diploma program or be a 2nd year student in a B.S.N program; ORAs an LPN student, have completed 2nd quarter or 1st semester clinicals in a Licensed Practical Nurse Training Program.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Patient Care Tech or Unit Secretary is preferred.
