- The primary role of a radiology technologist is using medical imaging equipment to produce images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels and, with advanced training, assisting in the administration of radiation therapy treatments.
- Performs diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures without requiring constant supervision.
- Effectively communicate with patients to obtain important clinical information, instruct the patient, relieve anxiety, and gain cooperation during procedures.
- Perform all phases of radiologic procedures including Emergency Room trauma, fluoroscopy, portable and surgical application of ionizing radiation.
