- The Transportation Policy Analyst reports to the Executive Deputy to the Metro Board Member representing the Southeast Long Beach sector, and may frequently interact with the GCCOG Executive Director.
- The transportation team works to advance the GCCOG’s key priorities, including the Southeast Gateway Line and Eastside Phase 2 light rail extensions, Long Beach-East LA Corridor Mobility Investment Plan, 91/605/405 highway improvements, Complete Street Corridors, zero emission transportation initiatives, and other Los Angeles County Measure R and Measure M transit, highway, local streets, active transportation, and first/last mile projects.
- This position also has significant interaction with staff from Metro, the county’s transportation planner and coordinator, designer, builder, and operator.
- Under the daily direction of the Executive Deputy to Metro Board Member, the Transportation Policy Analyst
- o Supports GCCOG’s transportation grants, including Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) zero emission corridors and Caltrans’ WSAB first-last mile/transit oriented development
