- Employee works with considerable independence in the delivery of fire service training.
- Supervises trains and evaluates Fire Service crews according to established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work; assists in formulation and delivery of training procedures and performs in-service training of Fire Fighters; enforces departmental rules, policies and regulations; assists in the development and planning of emergency response.
- Responds to fire alarms in the County and emergency medical calls; controls emergency medical/fire rescue; suppresses and extinguishes fires; stabilizes patients; performs salvage operations after emergency situation is controlled and/or suppressed; reviews all Fire/EMS incidents.
- Drives, operates and inspects Fire Department vehicles; operates, utilizes and inspects Fire Department equipment and gear; operates, tests and inspects pumps and hydrants; ensures repair, readiness and accessibility of all fire rescue equipment.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience as an Engineer for Osceola County Fire Rescue or minimum of one (1) year paid, professional experience as a Company Officer with another Fire Department.
