- GENERAL PURPOSE: Under general supervision, performs professional engineering and project management work in the planning, design, and operations of traffic and transportation projects and project components; investigates requests for changes to traffic control devices that optimize the mobility, safety, and accessibility of city's multimodal transportation network; and prepares and reviews traffic studies related to capital projects, street maintenance, and development.
- Serve as the TCI Department's primary conduit between the TCI Department and the Public Works Department's Streets and Drainage Division.
- A graduate engineer or engineer-in-training may be considered.
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, AND a minimum of two years of progressively responsible traffic engineering experience, AND Texas Engineer in Training certification are required.
