- The Tool Design Department is responsible for designing production tooling including stamping and forming dies, fixtures, gages, assembly tooling, and product test equipment or to make improvements to existing tooling.
- In this position you will be given assignments requiring the use of a 3D Cad with solid edge software to design new or redesign tools and help troubleshoot or problem solve various types of tooling.
- You will be working from various types of drawings and blueprints ranging from simple hand drawn documents or detail drawings to complicated CAD generated assemblies.
- The ability to design and troubleshoot various types of tools including stamping / forming dies, fixtures, gages, and assembly tooling.
- Understand the properties of other metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and bronze and how they are affected by the stresses of machining and forming.
