This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. We are looking for system and/or component level analysts to advance the thermal systems of multiple generations of lunar landers. For system level transient thermal analysis of lunar landers in ground, launch, Earth orbit, cis-lunar space, lunar orbit, and lunar surface environments using Thermal Desktop, typical tasks include capturing system inputs, performing system level trade studies, performing temperature and heat transfer predictions, and documenting results. For component level analysis, you will work with card level designers, system level thermal analysts, and systems engineers to ensure adequate temperature control of in-house and vendor procured electronic devices and assemblies. Contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers and Analysts simultaneously developing groundbreaking lunar landers. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering 2+ year relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals Demonstrated thermal analysis skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Preferred Qualifications: M.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering 5+ years of relevant aerospace experience Experience solving a variety of thermal problems demonstrating breadth in analysis application Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, FORTRAN, Matlab).
