He/she is knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures. A Travel CVOR Tech performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery. As a Travel CVOR/Surgical Technician you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: <ul> <li>Assist with moving and positioning of patient.</li> <li>Clean and bandage wounds.</li> <li>Confirm procedure with patient.</li> <li>Maintain supplies and medical equipment.</li> <li>Meet technical skills as outlined in checklist.</li> </ul> All CVOR/Surgical Technicians are required to hold the NBSTSA Certification in order to be eligible for employment with TNAA. Travel CVOR/Surgical Technicians should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. Techs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, techs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. Requirements*: BLS, NBSTSA, 1 Year * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
