- The projects being supported are primarily those concerning the deployment of emerging sustainable technologies in a pilot setting that scales from singular to stacked technologies to achieve Net Zero goals, low embodied carbon materials, EVSE, distributed energy resources, ground source heat pumps, smart connected facility controls, on-site resilient energy storage, and grid interactive technologies.
- The goal of the program is to evaluate emerging and sustainable technologies with broad deployment potential to mitigate the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA's) impact on the natural environment, and substantially reduce the federal government's energy use, water use, and greenhouse gas emissions, while improving operational performance and tenant satisfaction.
- Coordinates with DOE labs to develop a measurement & verification (M&V) plan which identifies what is being measured, all project success factors, and the qualitativeand quantitative main data to be collected during the pilot value proposition being tested.
- Leads bi-weekly progress meetings, with one milestone check in meeting onsite.
