- The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for participating in and supervising crews engaged in surveying projects for clients of the organization.
- The Survey Crew Chief works directly with the Field Production Manager to collect data that will be used to prepare maps, plats, and engineering design files as well as working on various phases of projects from initial survey control, to staking new structures, and collecting as-built data.
- Performs utility surveys, to include locating utilities as per field evidence or per UPC/utility locator service markings, and obtaining invert, pipe size and material of various structures.
- Uses conventional total station and level, digital level, GPS unit, and data collector, to include appropriate field checks and adjustments
- Experience with Robotic Total Stations and RTK/GPS equipment, specifically Trimble and Leica units, with TDS, Leica, and Carleson Data Collectors and software
