About the Opportunity This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00] The Supervisor's position would be out of the Waynesboro, PA service center and overseeing Maryland and West Virginia. Responsibilities include: <ul> <li>Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.</li> <li>Accountable for directing and coordinating warehousing and distribution activities within the assigned geographic region.</li> <li>Resolving material control system problems, interface with district stores and ensure warehouse activities are done per process.</li> <li>Monitoring employees and enforcing conformance to established work practices, rules and procedures .</li> <li>Implementing instructions and training of employees.</li> <li>Coordinating work with other departments and sections.</li> <li>Monitoring and documenting work habits of employees in adherence to labor agreements.</li> <li>Assist in materials layout and design at job site and monitor equipment utilization.</li> <li>Interfacing with customers regarding inventory management.</li> <li>May be required to manage a non-company warehouse if required for emergencies or other peaks.</li> <li>Directing and overseeing material inspections, storage, cycle counting, issuing, picking/packing, inventory accuracy and general housekeeping.</li> <li>Effectively communicate with customers, both internal and external, to ensure sound business relationships.</li> <li>Providing regional material support during emergency/storm situations, along with supporting the company storm process which may require extended or irregular hours.</li> <li>Providing regional materials on a 24/7 basis.</li> <li>Travel to multiple job site locations to receive deliveries, track materials, manage paperwork and oversee operations.</li> <li>Performing other projects and duties as assigned.</li></ul> Qualifications include: <ul> <li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree. In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma (or GED) along with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.</li> <li>Experience in a leadership role or supervisory experience is a plus.</li> <li>Experience in warehousing and materials management is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of transmission and substation materials is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to evaluate bill of materials and forecast material needs a plus.</li> <li>Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of SAP, CREWS, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Desire to continue to learn and grow, work across FirstEnergy, deliver results and supervise others.</li> <li>Ability to comprehend the company's Accident Prevention Handbook and apply it to safety in the workplace.</li> <li>Working knowledge of bargaining unit agreements and/or working with bargaining unit employees is preferred.</li> <li>Self starter who works well independently as well as in a team environment and can multi-task while prioritizing daily workload.</li> <li>Ability to make timely decisions that utilize available material and resources in a cost effective manner.</li> <li>Demonstrate proficiency at planning and scheduling work.</li> <li>Ability to lead a team in order to achieve company business objectives and goals.</li> <li>Tracking and maintaining accurate and proper paperwork.</li> <li>Ability to work extra and irregular hours. </li></ul> Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
