- The Sup, Psychology functions as a clinical psychologist and supervisor of mental health services under the direction of the Chief Psychologist and Chair, Department of Psychiatry.
- Responsible for the clinical therapeutic work of psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Psychology Interns, Psychiatric Residents, Fellows and other students as assigned.
- Responsible for the supervision of the development of treatment plans and their implementation, the preparation of therapy summaries as required through criminal and civil litigation case conferencing involving external agencies and AHCH staff and personnel appraisal.
- Provides effective, evidence-based interventions through identification of the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers a system of care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing, and /or visually impaired, etc.)
