- The Sheriff's Department is recruiting for Supervising Criminalists who supervise professional and technical level personnel performing complex scientific analyses, assist in the operation of the crime laboratory, perform specialized examinations of physical evidence, and serve in the absence of the laboratory director.
- License: Possess a valid California Class C driver license and show proof of automobile liability insurance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science or forensic science.
- Experience : Four years of experience in a forensic laboratory performing analysis and comparison of typical forensic samples in DNA/serology, toolmarks/firearms, trace evidence, toxicology, solid dose drug analysis, or forensic alcohol analysis.
- A minimum of 5 years of forensic science experience to include completion of a forensic training program, competency tested, court qualified, and successfully passing proficiency testing.
