- GENERAL SUMMARY: Proficient in fit up and welding of structural and piping systems and components onboard US Naval submarines and ships as well as off hull fabrication efforts.
- Performs shipboard fit up and welding of structural and piping systems and components in support of installation, repair, and maintenance efforts.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing welding operations in support of installation, repair, and overhaul efforts on US Naval vessels; or completion of a formal related course of study through either a community college, technical or trade school, military training, formal company training program, or an apprenticeship program.
- Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes as well as Direct Energy Arc Process (i.e. Stud Shooting).
- Submarine experience and experience with SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and/or LEVEL I systems and components is preferred.
