- Under the supervision of the He Loa Ke Aho Title III Project Coordinator, works with Native Hawaiian students in Leeward’s Associates in Hawaiian Studies, Associates in Natural Sciences and Associates in Teaching programs to provide targeted onboarding and ongoing student support services including but not limited to advising, registration, financial aid assistance, and resource referrals.
- Work in close collaboration with the Cultural Educational Specialist, Media Specialist, Kipuka Native Hawaiian Center personnel, counselors, faculty and staff, and community partners to research, design, write, develop, distribute, and maintain online digital student resource manuals that support Native Hawaiian student success in targeted degree programs.
- Researches and identifies major barriers to Native Hawaiian students' success and creates, designs, organizes, and executes student workshops, seminars, and supports that address identified college success barriers.
- Services include but are not limited to financial aid assistance and financial literacy, registration and advising, and resource referrals.
- Works with the Media Specialist to build attractive and accessible email brochures, newsletters, e-fliers, presentations, or other communications materials using programs such as Mailchimp or Canva.
