Description & Requirements As a Student Associate in our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) group, you will gain valuable, real-world experience and exposure to a variety of accounting projects. You will work alongside our associate, senior, and management level colleagues. We believe this experience will give you valuable insight into public accounting opportunities beyond the traditional audit or tax paths. To be successful in this role, you should enjoy solving problems, possess strong attention to detail, have a passion to learn real world accounting and finance skills while working alongside the best of the best. The OAS team utilizes cloud-based accounting platforms and software applications to provide recurring accounting and proactive advice to our clients. Your responsibilities could include the following areas. How you will contribute: Dedicate time to client service while coordinating work for our clients in the following areas: <ul><li>General ledger importing or synchronization</li><li>Accounts payable processing utilizing Bill.com</li><li>Payroll consulting and coordination with a 3 rd party provider</li><li>Bank and credit card account reconciliations</li><li>Depreciation schedule preparation</li><li>Monthly and year-end trial balance closing assistance</li><li>Assist with monthly management reports and financial statements</li><li>Various virtual and on-site outsourced accounting services</li><li>Accounting system design and implementation of QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct platforms</li><li>Various software application implementation projects </li></ul> We are looking for people with Forward Vision and: <ul><li>Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Commitment to provide unmatched client experiences</li><li>Ability to prioritize work for multiple clients and consistently meet deadlines</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> Hours Requirement: <ul><li>We are able to be flexible with your school schedule providing you are able to:</li><li>Accommodate our normal business hours of Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm</li><li>Have the ability to work each day of the week (M-F)</li><li>Commit to at least 20-25 hours per week during the Academic year</li><li>20+ hours per week during the summer </li></ul> Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Working toward a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.</li><li>Ability to balance academic schedule with the workload for multiple clients and projects while consistently meeting deadlines.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Fluency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word. </li></ul>Applicants for positions with Forvis Mazars must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
