**Position description**
This Job Matters
The Storeroom Buyer is accountable for effectively managing procurement of the Storeroom MRO inventory and the externally contracted maintenance services and miscellaneous supplies.
Maintain robust purchasing process, establish and manage vendor relationships, drive optimization projects and deliver improvements to the procurement efficiency and competitiveness of the Storeroom activities.
Develop and implement tactical plans for cost-saving and perform root cause analysis to eliminate pricing inaccuracies and part duplication. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
Your Skills Matter
* A Bachelors degree is preferred or a two (2) year Associates degree with at least 2-3 years of procurement experience, preferably in a high-paced working environment.
* Project Management driven with experience in RFQ/RFP in an Operational or Capital Environment
* Preferred experience using ERP system (SAP), MRP, ARIBA/AGORA, high degree of proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Inventory Control with basic principles, practices, methods and techniques related to inventory control.
* Demonstrated experience with negotiation skills and the ability to exercise good judgment in dealing with vendors and colleagues.
* Strong ability to collaborate with all Plant Departments, initiate positive change, work with a high degree of accountability, develop oneself and others and deliver high quality results.
