- Completion of a Stationary Engineer's or Operation/Maintenance Engineer's apprentice program*.
- One year of classroom training from a trade school, college, a branch of military service, or other equivalent accredited school in the operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration equipment, combustion controls or industrial controls equipment, boilers, or water treatment systems related to power plant operations, in any combination, may be substituted for one year of the required special experience
- An Unlimited Steam Engineer's License issued by the City of Los Angeles' Department of Building and Safety
- In order to qualify, applicants MUST include a legible copy of the required EPA approved Universal Technician Certification - AND -Unlimited Steam Engineer's License issued by the City of Los Angeles' Department of Building and Safety with your online application at the time of filing or within seven (7) calendar days from the date of application filing.
