- Assists the Parkland Fire Marshal in the administration of regulatory compliance programs and associated documentation.
- Oversees the inspection, repair, adjustment and maintenance of various fire protection, life safety, building systems and equipment to ensure a safe physical environment for Parkland patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
- Certification/Registration/Licensure: Must have (or achieve within 12 months of placement) certification as a Certified Life Safety Specialist Healthcare Facility Manager (CLSS-HC) or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
- Skills or Special Abilities: Must have expert knowledge of typical building life safety systems such as fire alarm, fire sprinkler, specialty detection and suppression systems.
- Works with the Parkland Fire Marshal to develop long term goals, strategies and best practices for achieving and maintaining the highest level of life safety for all Parkland properties.
