- The lawyer functions as a key strategic advisor to the Human Resources team, and to executive management, on all employment related matters, helping the Company manage the legal and reputational risks associated with employment related practices.
- Provide legal and strategic advice on a broad range of employment related matters including performance management, workplace accommodations, wage and hour law, policies regarding discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, internal investigations, pay equity, incentive pay, terminations, severance, recruiting, whistleblower claims, and more.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team on the development, implementation, interpretation, and application of workplace policies and procedures impacted by legislation such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, ERISA, and Title VII, and state employment laws relating to discrimination, workplace safety, and wage and hour.
- Conduct or manage confidential internal investigations on personnel matters.
- Provide support for other legal functions as needed, such as contract review, negotiation of disputes, advice on subpoenas, liens, and garnishments, and a wide array of transactions.
