- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to environmental impact studies and historic preservation required.
- Minimum of six years progressive experience performing environmental analysis and historic preservation studies, including research, writing, and preparation of the various and many required documents.
- Directs the preparation of environmental impact studies, assessments and statements, historical preservation studies, and appropriate documentation to ensure conformance with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations; oversees the proper implementation of same and, therefore, maintains MARTA's eligibility for matching federal funding for construction, expansion, and modification of the transit system.
- As required by federal and state law, determines application of historic preservation rules and regulations for the development, expansion, or modification of MARTA's transit system.
