The two principal owners of JGS, Kenneth Hager and Vincent Hager, represent in excess of 40 carriers both national and regional. We recognize the complexities and demands of a comprehensive insurance program for our clients. We realize that very often cost is a decisive factor in determining your selection of an insurance carrier. Our growth path includes increased geographic representation across the U.S., expanded client value propositions and new lines of insurance to meet the needs of evolving lifestyles, business risks, and healthcare funding. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Collaborates with the business to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.</li><li>Works as a mentor providing direction to Business Analysts and provides SME level expertise</li><li>Determines how changes to the project will affect the business and systems.</li><li>Responds to inquiries and provides advice to the client regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.</li><li>Facilitate requirements gathering sessions between business and IT.</li><li>Negotiates plans and timeframes, ensuring that the business understands the anticipated result.</li><li>Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation.</li><li>Produces reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties.</li><li>Maintains and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications.</li><li>Collaborates with the Project Manager to ensure business partner needs are met.</li><li>Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties.</li><li>Satisfies data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing client databases.</li><li>Acts as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.</li><li>Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.</li><li>Provides recommendations on system evolution.</li><li>Creates, develops, provides, or coordinates system training, materials, and other educational tools.</li><li>Helps develop ad hoc data reports using simple query language.</li></ul> KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: <ul><li>Detail oriented and proactive in taking measures to avoid or mitigate issues.</li><li>Excellent understanding of computer systems, integrations, databases, and data storage systems.</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of custom application development using multiple programming languages and frameworks.</li><li>Highly collaborative with an excellent work ethic.</li><li>Ability to make decisions with the best interest of the firm and end-users in mind.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li><li>Ability to learn any other appropriate program or software system used by the firm as necessary</li><li>Demonstrates the organization's core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm's culture</li></ul> EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, computer science or a related field of study required;</li><li>7+ years of experience in an Information Technology position required.</li><li>Vast experience with multiple development methodologies such as Agile, Incremental, Waterfall, etc.</li><li>Experience with full project life cycle, requirement analysis, documentation, development, test, and support.</li></ul> #LI-DT1 #LI-REMOTE Click here for some insight into our culture!
