- Under supervision of the SHNH Clinical Director, the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant provide assessment and treatment of elementary- and/or secondary school-aged children with developmental or acquired disorders, including neurological, physical, psychiatric, and/or multiple disabilities.
- The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is a contributing member of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with families, program staff, and other key stakeholders to improve outcomes and to promote wraparound care.
- The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant serves as a clinical consultant to a caseload of children across settings, providing staff professional training as part of their program consultation.
- Contribute to the delivery of a continuum of comprehensive speech-language therapeutic services and supports to students within their natural environments by following documented treatment plans/protocols developed by the supervising speech language pathologist (SLP).
- Assist the SLP with making communication boards, books, programming devices, preparing students schedules, preparing other speech-language materials.
