- Under the direction of a Speech and Language Pathologist and assigned administrator, assists in providing authorized and appropriate speech and language therapy services for students identified as having special needs in the area of speech and language communication, such as developing pre-language and language skills, vocalization, articulation, oral-motor control for speech production, and use of assistive technology devices for communication.
- Interested applicants MUST submit the Speech and Language Pathology Assistant Checklist with the submitted application.
- Typically, this would be gained through: Associate's degree, completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program and registration with the State of California, and two years of experience working with special needs population, preferably in a speech and language related area.
- Licenses and other requirements: Valid certification as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant with the state of California.
