- The licensed clinical social worker will provide inpatient or outpatient therapy to children and adolescents in the Psychiatry Faculty Practice (PFP) at Upstate Medical University's Department of Psychiatry.
- In addition to clinical work, the social worker will have a leadership position and help to develop and expand an outpatient/inpatient child and adolescent psychotherapy practice within the PFP. Responsibilities include providing individual and family psychotherapy, and providing supervision and leadership to social workers in the practice.
- The social worker will work closely with the mental health team (child psychiatrist, child psychologist, social workers and NPs) to develop and run an effective child and adolescent service.
- The social worker will attend yearly hospital-required performance evaluations and will maintain needed Continuing Education credits by attending Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds and outside conferences.
- New York State LCSW-C or C eligible social worker from an accredited training program with a practice focus on children, adolescents and families.
