- Technical expert responsible for developing and adjudicating the most complex, non-routine Title II and/or Title XVI cases and on public fraud issues in specific claims and post-entitlement cases.
- Examples of specialized experience include functioning as a lead worker or performing quality control functions in reviewing caseloads (e.g., income maintenance, benefits, pension plans, health insurance, etc.)
- Your Resume/Application must show at least one year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level and experience in (1) adjudicating, authorizing, investigating or reconsidering claims through face-to-face, telephone and other communication (2) functioning as a lead worker or performing quality control functions in reviewing caseloads (e.g., income maintenance, benefits, pension plans, health insurance, etc.)
- 3) adjudicating post-entitlement actions including Continuing Disability and Entitlement Reviews and using software and systems (4) mentoring, reviewing, or providing formal/informal training to Claims Specialists on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Note: Part-time work is prorated in crediting experience (e.g., if you work 20 hours per week for a 12-month period, you will be credited with 6 months of experience).
