SSuperior Skilled Trades is seeking Shipfitters for immediate hire in Tampa, FL! PAY: $28 /hour HOURS:40 hours SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday START DATE: ASAP DURATION:3+ Months REQUIRED SKILLS: <ul><li>Single Pass Tack Welding</li><li>Burning-Oxygen/Propane Burning Torch</li><li>Heating-Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch</li><li>Ability to comprehend complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches.</li><li>Ability to comprehend fractional dimensions with the use of a ruler.</li><li>Ability to layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly.</li><li>Ability to assemble structural piece parts in accordance with specification.</li><li>Use vibratory tools (grinders and needle guns)</li></ul> SHIPFITTER RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine shipfitting requirements</li><li>Cut, shape, and fit metal components to form parts of ships using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment</li><li>Assemble and tack-weld components together to prepare for final welding</li><li>Align and fit parts according to specifications using calipers, rulers, and other measuring instruments</li><li>Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area</li></ul> SHIPFITTER REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>Previous experience in shipfitting or a related field is preferred</li><li>Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques</li><li>Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus</li><li>Ability to solder and assemble metal components</li><li>Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in shipfitting</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints</li><li>Physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment</li></ul>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States</li><li>Must have reliable transportation to the job site</li><li>Must be able to pass a drug screen</li></ul> WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER!
