Essential Functions (including but not limited to): Under the direction and leadership of the Program and Performance Managers, the Shift Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Screening Officers in daily operations. Experience with and understanding of the job function of each of the posts is paramount to successfully managing the officers performing these functions. Working in conjunction with the airport and government agencies, the main priority of supervisors is to ensure that we maintain compliance with local and federal regulations in respect to each of the following: <ul> <li>Reporting actual or potential breach of Airport Security</li> <li>Maintain all communication protocols in a professional and efficient manner</li> <li>Incident response including communicating with necessary airport community stakeholders and first responders to ensure timely response to all reported incidents</li> <li>Maintaining access control to secured areas within the airport</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Maintaining integrity of the secure area by identifying threat items at the screening checkpoint, and following protocol and chain of command when one is identified</li> <li>Verify personal identification and access badge of person/people requesting entrance to secured areas</li> <li>Prepare written reports and records of all events, i.e., discrepancies, security incidents or breaches.</li> </ul> Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements Successful candidates will be motivated self-starters able to maintain situational awareness and vigilance in a fast-paced airport environment. This position requires you to obtain Airport Badging and The Department of Homeland Security requires an extensive background check to obtain badging which include 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, education, and personal references. Also, must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration Additional requirements <ul> <li>Three (3) years or more Security Supervisor experience/Supervisory Managers License</li> <li>Ability to act with integrity and professionalism</li> <li>Ability to work independently and exercise sound independent judgement</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills</li> <li>Must be at least 21 years old</li> <li>Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language</li> <li>High School Diploma or G.E.D.</li> <li>Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Aviation and Airport Authority</li> <li>Must have a driver's license and access to reliable transportation</li> <li>Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States</li> <li>Security Guard License issued by the state</li> </ul> Language Skills: English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking) Physical/Environmental Requirements: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, and involves exposure to noise, chemical, and other contaminants, moving mechanical hazards, and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability, with or without audio logical devices; able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels; capable of being on ones feet for extended periods of time and lifting 50 pounds unassisted. With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and cognitive requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines possibly on uneven terrain.
