It will take all of us working together to get there. As a Strategy & Planning Analyst, you will provide technical and strategic support to PGE's long-term resource planning. You will work independently and in cross-functional teams in support of key initiatives that drive value for customers and support PGE's clean energy objectives. Your work will involve the development and use of complex models to characterize PGE's future resource needs, conduct wholesale market forecasting, evaluate new technologies, develop resource portfolios, and evaluate portfolio cost and risk performance. You will be responsible for communicating your methodologies, findings, and insights to senior leadership within PGE, external stakeholders, and the Oregon Public Utility Commission. The ideal candidate will bring: A passion for conducting complex analyses with real-world implications, leveraging skills in resource economics, statistics, engineering, and finance; <ul><li>Interest in the dynamics of the Pacific Northwest energy industry;</li><li>Talent at creative problem solving in a collaborative group environment;</li><li>At least five years of relevant experience in the electricity industry, including exposure to and understanding of: wholesale energy markets; renewable, hydro, and thermal generating technologies; energy storage, demand response/flexible load programs, and energy efficiency;</li><li>Experience with production cost modeling (e.g., Aurora), optimization modeling, and Monte Carlo simulation, and proficiency with Python, VBA, and SQL;</li><li>Experience with regulatory processes and stakeholder engagement; and</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul> Responsibilities Research and Analysis Conducts research and analysis; identifies data sources and gathers or extracts data; conducts data analyses and qualitative analyses and communications results; conducts benchmarking and/or supply evaluation. Modeling Participates in or conducts simulation exercises; prepares models or forecasts and analyzes results; analyzes results to assess risks and opportunities; under guidance makes recommendations. Stakeholder Engagement Engages with stakeholders; helps conduct need assessments and/or obtains information from stakeholders; in collaboration with others, designs and delivers communications; facilitates meetings; ensures final product is aligned with stakeholder needs. Planning Identifies, prioritizes and performs integrated resource planning activities ensuring the resource plan supports customer needs and decarbonization goals. Reporting and Tracking Track's data and analytics related to area of specialization; contributes to or writes reports. However, these arrangements may change due to business needs or changes in responsibility. #LI-SB1 #LI-Hybrid Compensation Range: $87,225.00 - $145,375.00 Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
