- The Senior Research Scientist will take full ownership of leading health care program and policy projects working with both the federal and state governments, including projects involving policy analysis, literature reviews, structured interviews data and financial analysis, claims analysis, program and implementation support and monitoring, and technical assistance.
- Serve as project director with budget responsibilities on complex scientific and/or technical components of a large project or series of smaller projects designed to implement and assess health care programs.
- Apply advanced methods and techniques in the design and conduct of quantitative and qualitative research studies and analyses; direct and oversee environmental scans and literature reviews; develop structured interview protocols and content; and lead stakeholder interviews.
- Master or Doctoral degree in public policy, public health, health services research, economics or related fields (training in an array of social science disciplines will be considered).
- At least 9 years experience in positions of increasing responsibility in policy analysis; policy research; or research, policy, and implementation work within a state Medicaid agency or with federal Medicaid policy (or equivalent education), including at least 3 years of social science project management as well as experience with the design and execution of social science research and in publishing results.
