- Reviews a variety of development application types including zoning verification letters, site plans, subdivisions, and planned developments.
- Prepares and presents analyses, staff reports, and supporting documents to the Technical Review Committee, Planning & Zoning Commission, and Board of County Commissioners.
- Coordinates with other County departments, state and federal agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
- Senior Planner: Master's degree in Planning or a closely related field from an accredited university supplemented with two years of professional planning experience; or Bachelor's degree in Planning and a minimum of 5 years of direct planning experience.
- Planner: Master's degree in Planning or a closely related field from an accredited university, or a Bachelor's degree in Planning and a minimum of 2 years of direct planning experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Public Policy, or closely related field from an accredited university and a minimum of 3 years of direct planning experience.
