Here at Collins Aerospace on our Strategic Platforms team we create the software and systems design to pull all those pieces & equipment together into one cohesive system. This position is for a highly motivated team leader of 12+ Software Engineers whose charter is to decompose system requirements, develop, test, and deploy mission critical, integrated software solutions for our customer. This team develops and maintains several Avionics applications that allow our customer to Aviate, Navigate and Communicate. What YOU will do: <ul><li>YOU will direct the utilization of software engineering fundamentals, project management, and software development/test concepts for mission display and flight management applications.  </li><li>YOU will guide team members on the creation of software engineering plans, execution baselines, program execution and staffing plans, and technical risk assessments in support of customer expectations and business objectives.  </li><li>YOU will perform hiring decisions, performance assessment, and personnel management for a team of technical staff members.  </li><li>YOU will guide team members on the management of scope, schedule and budget for systems engineering activities; You must be well versed in using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance measurement; candidate must be able to assign and coordinate staffing. </li><li>YOU will provide guidance and review bid and proposal activities for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and pursuits. </li><li>YOU will lead the engineering team using strong interaction, interpersonal, mentoring and negotiating skills, and will be responsible for managing project risks/issues and elevating to upper management when appropriate. Employee Referral Eligible The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
