- The position requires excellent leadership and writing skills; the ability to represent complex projects in science, art, education, and media to external stakeholders and potential funders; proposal and grant budgeting expertise; the ability to work closely with a wide range of staff, and to work independently.
- The Senior Grants Manager will be part of a three-person grants team responsible for enacting a multi-year grants fundraising strategy.
- Write, rewrite, edit, format, and/or proofread proposals and reports.
- BA/BS degree and 7 - 12 years of experience as a lead grant writer or grants manager, preferably in a complex, multifaceted, nonprofit educational environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to independently lead and facilitate grant writing teams of experts and non-experts to produce winning proposals, proactively identifying issues, brainstorming solutions, and keeping diverse teams on track and on deadline.
