- The certified senior athletic trainer provides athletic training services to patients and clients of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Sports Medicine (NGPG) in the high school or college setting.
- The senior athletic trainer works independently in their setting as the liaison between student athlete, school administration, and NGPG by following the guidelines of the National Athletic Training Association and the Georgia Athletic Trainer Licensure Act. The certified athletic trainer performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in the athletic training policy and procedure manual.
- The athletic trainer works independently in their setting as the liaison between student athlete, school administration, and NGPG/NGHS by settings following the guidelines of the National Athletic Training Association and the Georgia Athletic Trainer Licensure Act. Documents treatment procedures following departmental policies and procedures and in compliance with third party payers guidelines.
- The athletic trainer is responsible for report participation status to athletic department officials.
- Education of student athlete as to their injury, treatment, and rehabilitation, Athletic Department policy and NAIA or NCAA rules regarding payment of medical bills, permissible vs.
