- The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Director of Reimbursement and is responsible for compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data primarily related to the revenue and accounts receivable allowance accrual estimate calculations of the Patient Financial Services (PFS) billing and claim collection process.
- Responsible for the analysis and accurate accrual calculations of Patient Financial Services (PFS) billing and collection revenue and accounts receivable monthly, as well as the analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting tools necessary for ongoing evaluation, monitoring collections, monitoring, and interpreting payor mix, cash collection and forecasting, days sales outstanding, and other financial and accounting metrics.
- Collaboratively and proactively works with the PFS management team department to identify and analyze payor mix reimbursement trends for Commercial Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Government and Self Pay categories to evaluate and interpret information and present findings and recommendations to management.
- Identification, preparation, and review of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly Air Medical revenue reports and other KPIs for PHI Executive team, PFS Management, as well as Regional and individual Air Medical Bases of Operations.
- Maintenance of and compliance with financial internal controls.
