- Position Summary:This person would be responsible for Training Armed Security Officers in all aspects of the DHS National Protective Security Officer Lesson Plan, The National Weapons Detection Training Program, The ICE Firearms Qualification, Baton, OC and other duties as needed.
- This position may also perform duties visiting posts, checking the armed guard for necessary credentials, accuracy of logs, etc.
- COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY:$ 74,131.20 Annually$ 17.20 per hour during training periorCORE REQUIREMENTS: The Training Instructor (TI) position is a FTE position that requires a background with a minimum of two (2) years of training experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service.
- Must have completed an approved and accredited Principles of Instruction course and Firearms Training (e.g. NRA, a Police Academy, State POST Academy, FLETC or military training course) certifying them as a Firearms Instructor.
- Must be able to obtain appropriate certifications to perform First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray, Firearms and NWDTP Instructions.
