- The Engineered Materials group (MST-7) of Materials Science & Technology Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a highly qualified and motivated post-baccalaureate student to assist in thermomechanical analysis of polymers and other material systems.
- The student will implement Python and other programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, R) to prepare and analyze data generated from several characterization techniques, such as differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermomechanical analysis (TMA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), and mechanical testing.
- BS/BA Degree from an accredited program in engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science, or related field completed within the past 3 years with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Familiarity with materials characterization techniques (e.g., DSC, TGA, TMA, and DMA).
