- The Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in the development of the IHP/IEP for students requiring social work intervention and support in the school setting.
- Designs and develops appropriate individualized service plans that are based on the IEP and supports the curriculum using diagnostic information from a variety of assessments and assessment processes
- Plans in collaboration with the educational team for the prevention and intervention of inappropriate behaviors, while maintaining the dignity of the student
- Collaborates with all assigned students and educational support staff as well as any assigned student teachers, interns, and volunteers working in the school for the welfare and safety of all students while in the classroom, on school grounds, during before and after-school activities
- Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facility
